Rail Defect Ignored for Months Before Required Repair Deadline

6/ The Vgudok railway news portal reports that the defect was first identified on 7 February and reported as a "Category 2" fault – transverse cracks in the rail head. Protocol required it to be inspected within 3 days and replaced or repaired immediately. This did not happen.
