Evolution of Putin’s rhetoric on Ukraine from 2014 to 2025

In 2014, Putin called the invasion of Crimea an act of “brotherly love.” In 2022, he talked about “defending Russian speakers.” By 2025, those words disappeared. Now he speaks of “security guarantees” and “mutual understanding”. 3/
