Fake referendum, detentions, and torture reported after anti-war protests

The "constitution" was adopted in a fake referendum on Feb. 27. There wasn't even the illusion of counting the votes. More than 800 people were detained that day for anti-war protests. Detainees reported torture in prison: broken ribs, hits to the head, & no medical care.
