Zelenskyy thanked Pope Leo XIV for his message of support for Ukraine and requested assistance in bringing home Ukrainian prisoners of war held in Russia. Ukrainian POWs in Russian captivity are systematically tortured, including beatings, electric shocks, starvation, and sexual violence.
