Dr. Oleksii Halionka, 72, scholar and educator, was killed in a triple Russian missile attack on civilian Chernihiv. In 2022, his home and 4,000-volume library burned in earlier shelling. Despite this, he stayed in Chernihiv, living in his summer home & dreaming of rebuilding.
