Ukraine topped the global arms import rankings in 2021–25, accounting for 9.7% of all major weapons transfers worldwide—up from just 0.1% five years earlier, according to a SIPRI report published on March 9, 2026. At least 36 countries supplied Ukraine with major arms following Russia's full-scale invasion.
