Ukrainian mixed martial artist Yehor “Bir” Birkun, 24, died defending Mariupol on March 22, 2022. A member of the Azov regiment at Azovstal, he fell saving a comrade. He was set to compete in the GAMMA MMA World Championship the next day, with high hopes of becoming world champion. #BloodyOlympics
