Since 2019, he had been the head of the Central Television and Radio Studio of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (overseeing the radio station Army FM and Military TV). Oleksii was a reservist and, on February 24, he returned to active service in the Ukrainian Armed Forces to defend the country.
