Ukrainian servicemen managed to drive the occupiers back to their former positions in Luhansk Oblast. Due to significant losses, they were forced to retreat — regional governor Serhiy Haidai. According to him, the Russians receded near Severodonetsk, Toshkivka and Oskolonivka.
