The CIA is certain that Russia will attempt to retake part of the Kursk region seized by Ukrainian forces, though Putin is currently focused on occupying Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. CIA Deputy Director David Cohen also stated on Wednesday that Ukraine's operation in the Kursk region demonstrates its ability to strike deep into Russian territory.
