Vadym Filashkin was appointed Donetsk regional governor. He is a former law enforcer who has been gradually moving up the career ladder since 2007 and as of 2016 was the deputy head of the Main Police Department in Donetsk Oblast. Since 2019, he has served as deputy governor.
