Chancellor Olaf Scholz, has ruled out the possibility of supplying badly needed long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine in his election platform. Scholz’s main rival, Friedrich Merz, the CDU’s candidate for chancellor, advocates for providing these missiles to Kyiv.
