Russia fails to meet Ukraine objectives

On November 7, Russia secured a land bridge to Crimea but failed to reach Transnistria or fully occupy the regions it targeted. It has mobilized troops, deployed prisoners, mercenaries, and North Korean soldiers, and shifted to a war economy—yet controls less territory than it did in March 2022.
