On May 5, a soldier and weightlifter, Oleksandr Peleshenko, died at the front, according to Viktor Slobodianiuk, a member of the Weightlifting Federation. He was 30 years old. Oleksandr was an Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine, a two-time European champion, and an Olympic participant.
