On June 9, 2022, Roman Ratushny, a participant in Euromaidan, a public figure, journalist, and defender of the Protasiv Yar tract, was killed in action. In her speech on July 4, 2023, at the forum on the reconstruction of Ukraine, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, paid tribute to him.
