On this day in 2022, during Russian shelling of the city of Mykolaiv, Oleksiy Vadatursky (1947–2022) was killed — a Hero of Ukraine, Ukrainian agricultural entrepreneur, and general director of the agricultural enterprise Nibulon. A missile struck his house directly.
