It seems, however, that the much-talked-about operational pause is coming to an end. The Ukrainians took the opportunity to reorganize their two defensive lines, one in Bakhmut and the other in Sloviansk. The Russians, in turn, used the lull to rotate their units, resupply them, and reinforce them.
