On August 17, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine / CinC AF of Ukraine General Valerii Zaluzhny spoke by phone with Chief of the Defence Staff of the Canadian Armed Forces General Wayne Donald Eyre. He briefed his counterpart on the frontline situation, which remains tense but fully under control.
