As we can see, after Yanukovych came to power, a peaceful scenario for Ukraine no longer existed. Before the Maidan, Russia, with Yanukovych's help, planned to seize the entire country, except for the western regions. After the Maidan, it managed to seize only Crimea and parts of the eastern regions.
