8-year-old Bohdan was rescued from the Bakhmut area, which is under constant shelling. His dad and his 7–month-pregnant mom were killed by a Russian shell. In the photo, next to Bohdan, is a police dachshund named Rem, who’s protecting the boy until his aunt arrives.
