Occupants attempted to exploit thick fog near Kostiantynivka to creep closer to the city. They deployed additional troops, hoping to catch defenders by surprise. It failed. Reconnaissance units from the 28th Mechanized Brigade detected the movement early, and Ukrainian forces struck hard. The fog turned into a death trap for the invaders.
