A medic I know in Donbas says he’s been trying for days to evacuate 100s of civilians stuck in Svyatohirsk, a beautiful town on the Siverskyi Donets River with a monastery that clings to a white hillside. But he says Russia’s heavily shelling it nonstop and the town is “burning.”
