Awful news. Roman was bright, talented, motivated; regular in Ukraine's activist scene. As Ollie points out below, he was among students beaten by Yanuk thugs on Maidan. He was serving with 93rd mechanized brigade near Izyum. I spent time with the 93 this month. It's tough there.
