Matsievskyi served as a sniper, though on that mission he carried an assault rifle. His commander later identified him in the execution video by voice, posture, and a distinctive eyebrow wound. 4/

In spring 2022, he defended Chernihiv region. In December 2022, he fought near Soledar. On 30 December 2022, he went on a combat mission with four other soldiers. Contact broke during the fight. No witnesses survived. 3/

Oleksandr served in the 163rd Battalion, 119th Territorial Defense Brigade. He came from Nizhyn, worked as an electrician in Kyiv, and volunteered at the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. 2/
