Trump: We were together almost 3 hours.. We agreed on a lot. One or two pretty significant items remain.

I want to see people stop dying in Ukraine… 5k, 6k, 7k are dying. Mostly Russians, Ukrainian soldiers, and people in cities. If we can end that war, it would be very good

Snyder: Trump wants to be remembered as a peacemaker. Ignoring the realities of war makes it impossible. He has made the war longer and worse.

Putin: To make settlement lasting, we must remove primary causes of conflict. All legitimate concerns of Russia must be considered, balance of security in Europe and world restored.
