Leaning toward controlled Ukrainian retreat theory for RU capture and encirclement
At this point I'm leaning towards the theory of a controlled UA retreat and as a result RU forces could quickly capture the smaller settlements north of Zolote/Hirs'ke. The two larger towns would take longer to clear so they closed the circle around them first.
