The PGO notes that these figures are not final, as the bodies of the dead are still being found in places of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories. 1,721 educational institutions have been damaged by shelling, 139 were completely destroyed.

As of this morning, at least 226 children had been killed and over 420 injured in the Russian invasion of Ukraine, with Donetsk, Kyiv & Kharkiv Oblasts most affected, according to @GP_Ukraine.

Russia maintains presence on Snake Island
Satellite imagery from yesterday (May 12) shows that Russia continues its efforts to maintain a presence on Snake Island. Two landing ship tanks (LSTs) were in the vicinity of the island yesterday and appear to have unloaded two vehicles, possibly an SA-15 air defense system.
