Mariupol has returned to 1991. On the streets, a spontaneous market. People trade directly from the ground for vodka, clothes, medicines, vegetables. This was in my deep childhood. Next to the stalls on the streets are the graves of city residents who were not lucky enough to survive the bombing by Russian 'liberators'.

We absolutely should be picking and sending a NATO MBT though – I'd probably suggest the Leopard 2. Why? Firstly, availability, again. Roughly 3,600 Leopard 2s were built, compared to around 450 Challenger 2s. That's a much larger pool to find stock to send to Ukraine.

The main problem with sending the Challenger 2 is simply availability – we don't have enough to send. We'd have to train Ukrainian crews/maintenance teams, set up a complex logistics chain (remember, the Challenger 2 fires unique 120 ammunition) for relatively few vehicles.
