Until just recently, there was a library, one of Chernihiv's landmarks buildings. Now there is a 5-meter crater from the russian 500-kilogram bomb. Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Mariupol—each city bears the same signature: “The russian world paid a visit there.”

Ukraine’s best-case scenario: trapping Russians on fragile supply lines
In a best-case scenario for Ukraine, it might be able to get the Russians into the same sort of situation they faced east of Kyiv: stuck on the end of tenuous supply chains with dwindling supplies and constant attrition through attacks. /end

Ukraine may target T2110 road near Kupyansk
There are other roads linking Kupyansk to Izyum, but the loss of the T2110 would seriously hinder the Russians' ability to supply their front lines east of Kharkiv. Therefore, I'd expect a Ukrainian push to try to take control of it.

Ukrainiens coupent route clé près d’Izyum
The recapture of Bazaliivka and Lebiazhe potentially enables the Ukrainians to push on to Shevchenkove, which would cut the T2110 road to the south – the main supply route for the Russian advance out of Izyum. /3

Map shows narrow Russian corridor between Shevchenkove and Kupyansk
This map (via @War_Mapper
) helps to show why this is important. Red territory is under firm Russian control, pink is under tenuous Russian control. Note that the Russians appear to have a narrow corridor between Shevchenkove and Kupyansk, further east. /2 -

Front-line maps show Bazaliivka and Lebiazhe near Shevchenkove
A look at front-line maps helps to confirm the significance of this. Bazaliivka and Lebiazhe are a few kms northwest of Shevchenkove, an important strategic point for both sides. /1
