Observation on potential early Russian withdrawal and convoy
I think Russian units began withdrawing earlier than we might appreciate. I will note another potential input/output problem. Take note if the 40 mile 'stuck' convoy, which it never was, ends up withdrawing within the coming days. Worth following that situation.

As of April 1, @UHCteamUA has documented 117 cases of attacks on healthcare infrastructure in Ukraine. At least 89 healthcare facilities have been damaged and 8 healthcare facilities have been completely destroyed. Since the beginning of the war, 11 doctors have been killed.

Analysis of retreat under sustained Ukrainian attack and input/output issues
I like to identify input/output issues in analysis. I'm not sure I would call this a rout since that is more a determination of cohesion/organization. Hard to tell from OSINT. I'm reticent to make such calls. It most certainly is a retreat under sustained attack by UKR forces.

Of course, Russians have retreated from the Kyiv area because they have completely failed.
That is a clear victory of the Ukrainian armed forces and the civilian resistance. But the war is not over — there will be even more terrible Battle of Donbas. No time for joy yet. -

Russian forces withdrawn from Kyiv’s north, west, and east; Ukraine regains control.
Basically, Russian military presence northwest, west, and east of Kyiv has just ceased to exist. The Ukrainian forces have regained control of all key points, including Borodyanka and Ivankiv, Ukrainian forces are cleaning up Bucha, Vorzel and Hostomel.
