Russia will likely stall the start of any negotiation process with Ukraine and use the current ceasefire proposal to set a more favorable diplomatic position before engaging in talks. Russia will first want to be in the strongest military position possible to negotiate better

Russian media is showing that Russian forces are now in Sudzha, Kursk as the AFU withdraws and collapses positions. The AFU forces there had their logistics cut recently, as Russian forces consolidated fire control of the only decent road back into Ukraine.
