Mariupol’s pet name Marik and its barbarous destruction
We used to call Mariupol ‘Marik’. It was its pet name among fans. Marik was the first seaside town I’ve ever seen. After 2014 it slowly became cultural capital of Ukraine’s East. Putin had other plans and chose to subject Mariupol to barbarous atrocities, unimaginable suffering.
