At the 2025 Munich Security Conference, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for the creation of a European army. “Without Ukraine’s army Europe’s armies will not be enough to stop Russia. It’s reality for today… But our army alone is not enough too,” he stated.
What exactly is the trade? Ukraine gives up 50% of mineral rights in exchange for what? The prior IS support? That’s not a trade, that’s expropriation. The U.S. already spent that funding on its own military and defense production. Plus some of its is loans, also grants.
