Pope Francis has called for an end to the bloodshed in Ukraine. "This week, the city named after the Virgin Mary – Mariupol – has become a martyr city of the brutal war that is devastating Ukraine. There are no reasons that can justify the barbaric killing of children and civilians," he said.
