At least 82,500 square kilometers of Ukraine need to be demined, according to the Association of Sappers and mine clearance operator Demining Solutions. This represents nearly 14% of the country. The south and east, as well as Kyiv and Chernihiv Oblasts, are potentially the most dangerous areas.
