Russia tried to wipe out Chernihiv where I was born and went to school.
It flattened Irpin where my brother lived. It attacked Lviv where my parents met, brothers were born and where I went to a nursery.
Most Ukrainians have similar stories.
And I'm still one of the lucky ones.
