The commander of the National Guard regiment Azov, Sviatoslav Palamar, said that the first 20 civilians, women and children, were evacuated from the Azovstal premises. He noted that there is no discussion of evacuating wounded soldiers, and demanded the evacuation of the wounded fighters.
