This reduction may have contributed to the halt in Ukrainian advances south of Izium, near Kurulka. Further east, Russian forces have captured Yampil and are slowly advancing toward Ozerne. The Russians appear to be aiming to encircle the Ukrainian positions along the Dovhenke-Lyman line.
