Deputy Commander of the Ukrainian Navy for aviation, Colonel Ihor Bedzai, was killed by a Russian fighter jet while performing a combat mission on a Mi-14 helicopter. During the 2014 occupation ofCrimea byhe moved aircraft to mainland Ukraine in front of the occupiers.
