Discussions about sanctions, the lack of decisiveness and strength, compromises, and rhetoric on how a dictator needs to save face sound so familiar. I observed the same reaction toward Lukashenka—attempts to appease and slow actions. Now, sadly, #Ukraine is facing similar issues.
