In Soledar, Russian forces were fighting in Pokrovske, the southeastern suburb of the town, and advancing toward Yakovlika (northeast), which was still held by Ukrainian troops. The same was true for Bilohorivka. Soledar was currently the most threatened but still under Ukrainian control.
