Sergey Surovikin commands the Southern Front forces. In 1991, he led a column of armored vehicles into Moscow, resulting in three deaths. He commanded Russian military forces in Syria before being appointed commander of the Aerospace Forces. As an Army General, he is responsible for the shelling of Mykolaiv and the surrounding region.
