Russia did not plan to exchange Ukrainian prisoners of war in Olenivka. Wagner Group mercenaries mined the prison grounds to conceal torture and violent interrogations of Ukrainian service members, according to Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence of the Defence Ministry.
