On July 13, 2022, the crew of a Mi-8 helicopter—Major Yevheniy Kopotun (commander), Senior Lieutenant Nazariy Kril (pilot-operator), Captain Bohdan Lozovy (technician)—died on a combat mission near Prechystivka, Donetsk Oblast. They served in the 16th Separate Aviation Brigade in Brody.
