The government has approved the draft budget for 2023, with 50% of expenditures allocated to defense and security. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that defense and security spending in the draft budget is four times higher than in 2022, totaling $30.7 billion. The draft still requires parliamentary approval.
