Strangely, this article doesn't explore the costs of "not" winning the war: mass murder/enslavement of Ukrainians, Russia empowered to use nuclear blackmail again. Nor does it explain how we persuade Putin to negotiate since his goal, elimination of Ukraine, remains unchanged.
