Viktor Bout, one of the world's largest arms dealers, who was sentenced to 25 years in prison in the US in 2012 for illegal arms trafficking and supporting terrorism, has returned to Russia. To free him, the Kremlin took an American basketball player hostage, for whom Bout was eventually exchanged.
