Southern Bakhmut maneuver and strategic goals

Operationally, the maneuver south of Bakhmut has two objectives: of course, to encircle the city to take it with minimal effort, but also to pressure Chasiv Yar, the rear stronghold that covers Kramatorsk to the northwest, Kostantynivka to the west, and Toretsk to the south.
