Kyiv authorities: Russian spy balloons downed over capital. About six spy balloons were detected over Kyiv, "most of which" were shot down, Kyiv City Military Administration reported on Feb. 15. The balloons likely aimed to identify and exhaust Ukrainian air defense forces.
