Among many others, Nina's daughter Antonina and her husband Arsen Mirzoyan attended the funeral. Antonina said that her mother raised her and instilled in her a love for everything Ukrainian. The farewell ceremony featured a performance by the Hryhoriy Verevka National Choir.
